“A prophecy has come to pass that there would come to us a chosen one, and that he having no child of his own, would love all children everywhere. He himself would be an artist and a craftsman, and a skilled maker of toys. From this day on, now and forever, you will bring our gifts to all the children in all the world, and all this is to be done on Christmas Eve.”

Santa Claus: The Movie – Synopsis

Uncle Claus used to make and deliver handmade gifts for all the children in his village, ends up in a snow storm with his wife, and reindeer Donner & Blitzen. When the storm clears, they’re greeted by a small army of elves. They are then brought into a life of eternity and luxury.. However, this is only on the basis that Mr Claus takes on the role of delivering presents worldwide each Christmas.

Santa Claus: The Movie – Review

Available in 4K, this masterpiece has been brought back to life. Patch is one of my absolute favourite elves – his creativity and attitude is ingenious. It does have a bit of a sad scene at the beginning – but rest assured they all survive! The plot also has some heavier themes around childhood poverty, which is no different then than it is now. Whilst it may be upsetting, I think it’s great that it shows this type of diversity in characters.

Conclusion

This is absolutely worth a watch to get you into the Christmas spirit. Suitable for children, with plenty Santa content and Christmas magic.
