He needs an assistant ASAP, she needs a job – can they save the business before Christmas?
Christmas Incorporated – Synopsis
Riley ‘V’ lands herself a new job via a case of mistaken identity, and her first assignment is to accompany her new boss on a trip to save a failing toy factory. After taking over his dad’s company, Mr Young wants to make a name for himself rather than relying on his fathers image. But how can he do that when he has the same stakeholders and advisors? Is Riley the missing piece to help him keep the factory afloat?
Christmas Incorporated – Review
A not-quite-so-light hearted Christmas romance, it’s most definitely slow burn and carries some heavy themes. Throughout the movie this includes job loss, and loss of a parent in young childhood. This is partially why Mr Young is such a Christmas scrooge! Regardless of this, the movie does well in representing strong females in corporate, and how well their ideas can do when allowed to bloom. While missing LGBTQ+ and racial representation, this does pass the Bechdel test.
