In Netflix’s Best Christmas Ever, Charlotte (Heather Graham, The Hangover) and Jackie (Brandy Norwood, Cinderella) star as old fremenies who unexpectedly end up spending the holidays together – as a result of Jackie’s family newsletter, and Charlotte’s overeager son.
What happens in Best Christmas Ever on Netflix?
With a bit of envy, Charlotte is keen to prove that Jackie’s life isn’t quite perfect. With her Italian husband, mansion house, and super-smart daughter in tow, Jackie has a life of luxury to anyone unwilling to look below the surface. However, this backfire’s when she sees past the façade only to see why Jackie chose to sugar-coat her life.
Is Best Christmas Ever a good movie? – Review
I really think this is well worth a watch, despite the questionable reviews I’ve seen elsewhere. There are some moments that would go over the heads of those 8 and below, but would be cringey to watch with a pre-teen (“What was that noise last night?”.. “Oh, that was just Aunt Jackie moving some furniture as adults do..”.)
Is Best Christmas Ever worth watching?
Yes, absolutely. It serves as a good reminder that what we see on social media is a filtered version of life – and that’s OK. Everyone has their own expectations and is allowed to be disappointed when comparing to others, but it’s key to remember you’re only seeing a snippet of their life and not the full thing.
